Who is responsible

This website (cosmincalin.es) is operated by Gheorghe Cosmin Calin. For anything related to your data, write to cosmin.cg22@gmail.com.

The short version

This is a static personal portfolio. It sets no cookies, has no accounts, no contact forms and no advertising. The only data involved is described below.

Preferences stored on your device

Your theme (light/dark), accent colour and language choices are stored in your browser’s localStorage. They never leave your device and are not readable by me or anyone else. You can clear them at any time from your browser settings.

Analytics

I use a self-hosted instance of Umami (running on my own server in the EU) to count page views. Umami is cookie-less and stores no personal data: IP addresses are not retained, visitors are not fingerprinted or tracked across sites, and only aggregate statistics (page, country, browser family) are kept. Legal basis: legitimate interest in knowing whether anyone reads this site.

Server logs

Like virtually every web server, the server hosting this site writes standard access logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent). They are used exclusively to detect abuse and operational problems, are rotated automatically and are deleted after a short retention period. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

Email

If you email me, I will use your address and the content of your message only to reply. I don’t add you to any list and I don’t share your message with anyone.

Sign-in (not active)

This site currently has no authentication. If a sign-in area is ever added (planned via a self-hosted identity provider), this policy will be updated before it goes live and the changes will be clearly indicated.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing, by writing to the email above. You can also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Spain, the AEPD — aepd.es).

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. Substantial changes will be noted on this page.
